LEAK: App Development Policies For Windows Phone 7

If Microsoft wants to be successful with Windows Phone 7 they’ll need the support of the development community. They’ll need to rival the volume and quality of apps found on the Android Market and App Store. The only way to begin that process is to get information, guidelines, API’s, and other developer resources into the hands of the developers. That hasn’t happened yet… officially. But it just happened unofficially.

In a leak originating at XDA-Developers, part of the Official App Development Policies were leaked. Nothing overwhelmingly informative was let out of the bag, but those eager to develop for Windows Phone 7 will want to read what’s available and follow this story. We’ve learned that first-mover advantage makes a big difference in the app world (not the Blackberry one).
