Windows Phone Marketplace reaches 40,000 apps

Although nowhere near the numbers for Android and iOS, the Windows Phone Marketplace is growing at a respectable rate. While early criticism for Windows Phone came from the fact that the app store was basically empty compared to its competitors, Microsoft argues that about 95% of the apps that people use on Android or iOS have an alternative on WP. It seems as if the biggest thing left out right now are the unique games (we recently reported that the Unity gaming engine will not be developing for WP7), but Microsoft is looking to change that with Xbox Live.
