Stephen Elop Says “Finland is home,” has no intention of moving Nokia

With Microsoft and Nokia being so friendly with each other some rumblings about Nokia moving its headquarters have popped up. Some people think it would make sense for Nokia to leave Finland and join Microsoft in the States. Stephen Elop, Nokia CEO, does not agree. The rumors have gotten so bad that he said a few words about it on a Finnish TV station.

As long as I’m the CEO the headquarters is in Espoo… That’s our home, our sense of belonging.

Nokia’s phones are coming here, but not Nokia. As long as we get some awesome Windows Phones we don’t care where they’re located.
