Lumia 800 Now Available For Pre-Order in Korea

For Koreans looking to get their hands on a Windows Phone, today is the day. Nokia and Microsoft have begun accepting pre-orders for the Lumia 800. The Lumia 800 will be the first Mango-based phone available in the country and will go on sale on Monday, December 26th. The provider KT Telecom is signed up to offer the device to its customers.

Nokia will face stiff competition from Samsung, as it is one of the few handset vendors that are able to offer LTE service to the country, as other Western providers such as Apple and Motorola are unable to do so. The LTE Lumia range is reportedly being pushed heavily to the U.S., but whether the LTE devices will make the jump to Korea is still unsure. If an LTE Lumia is released, this would give Nokia a huge advantage over Apple which is still not offering an LTE iPhone.
