New Hack Lets You Install App Stores From Other OEMs

One of the ways manufacturers can customize their Windows Phone is by having a special section in the Marketplace for some OEM specific apps. For example HTC has their own HTC Hub app for HTC Windows Phones. But what if you don’t have an HTC phone and you want the HTC apps? A new homebrew hack can make that possible.

A member over at XDA has created a way to install a XAP to get access to any OEM Marketplace. The process is very simple and only requires a developer (or Chevron) unlocked phone. This is not a permanent hack. Your Marketplace will resort back to original state after a couple days. The hack allows you to install app stores from HTC, LG, Samsung, and Nokia. Head on over to this thread on XDA to find out more.
