T-Mobile’s Ad Campaign for Windows Phone is “Simple”

The Nokia Lumia 710 went on sale for T-Mobile customers yesterday and along with it the company has an interesting advertising tactic. Posters and commercials are touting the Windows Phone experience as “Windows simple”, which could be both a good and a bad thing. People want simple devices that they don’t have to fight with to get to work, but at the same time they don’t want to feel like their product is one step above something Playskool would offer toddlers.

Only time will tell whether or not this advertising approach will work, but I feel like there is definitely some room in the mobile marketplace for a phone that does everything you want without having to download a ton of apps in order to stay connected.

  • I’m so glad that they are going this way with the phone and the advertising. If they can prove to people its simple and easy, and still fast as the rest, the should be able to carve out a spot in the marketshare in no time.
