Windows Phone Market Share at 1.4% in Q4, Windows Mobile Still at 2.4%

Nielsen has released their quarterly research on smartphone market share for Q4 of last year. Windows Phone market share is at 1.4%, which would mean there is about 1.2 million Windows Phone devices in the U.S. That’s out of the 91.6 million total smartphones that Comscore estimates are in the U.S. The crazy part is that Windows Mobile is actually still beating Windows Phone in market share with 2.4%. Hopefully Windows Phone can take over the market share from Windows Mobile in the next year. Windows Mobile makes a lot of people hesitant to try Windows Phone, so hopefully they all die out soon.
