AT&T Adjusts Data Plans, Gives Your More for Your Dollar

AT&T is retooling their data plans. Reading that sentence probably makes you cringe since changes that carriers make usually aren’t kind to customers. Surprisingly the changes that AT&T has made actually give you more for your hard earned dollar. The current price of AT&T’s data plans are 200MB for $15, 2GB for $25, or 4GB with tethering for $45. The new plans see a $5 increase in price, but also an increase in data to 300MB, 3GB, and 5GB. That’s actually a lower cost per byte. The tablet plans will be 250MB for $15, 3GB for $30, and 5GB for $50.

Current customers won’t be affected unless they want to voluntarily switch. Even if you get a new phone and renew your contract you won’t be forced to switch over. If you want the new plans you can switch starting this Sunday.
