Marko Ahtisaari Joins Nokia Leadership Team

Despite reporting nearly $1.2 billion in losses in Q4, Nokia seems to be confident about the direction the company is taking. Marko Ahtisaari who formerly served as Nokia’s Senor Vice President of Design has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Design, which will see him join the Nokia Leadership team. With this promotion, Ahtisaari will report directly to Elop himself.

Ahtisaari’s accomplishments for the company include the universally praised unibody design that was first introduced with the Nokia N9. With Ahtisaari at the helm, we’re sure that Nokia will continue to create sharp phones with a great form factor, since both the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 900 have piggy-backed from this initial design.
