Mobile Social Network “Path” Could Come to Windows Phone

If you’ve used an iOS or Android device for any period of time, you probably know about Path. It’s a great social network for mobile operating systems only that incorporates a lot of the features of Foursquare and Facebook, but in a much more pleasing manner. While it definitely doesn’t compete with the social giants, tech bloggers seem to love it.

AllThingsD recently had an interview with CEO Dave Morin, who had some interesting things to say about the direction of the app.

Next up are extended platform tools (Path already has a deal to get health data from Nike), smarter friend-request filtering, and perhaps a Windows Phone app, Morin said.

Path currently has about 2 million members and with no real competition in the mobile social space on Windows Phone, this could be a huge decision for the company. We’re hoping this isn’t a pipe dream spoken by a CEO with huge plans, since we’d love to see Path take advantage of the MetroUI design features.
