Microsoft Flight Launching on February 29th, DLC Galore

Microsoft seems fond of pissing off consumers of its long standing game franchises, with this year’s lucky winner being Microsoft Flight. Last year Microsoft launched a free-to-play version of Age of Empires, its critically acclaimed strategy game. While the game was initially free to play, soon DLC started trickling in, angering those who felt the game ruined the feel of AoE.

Microsoft Flight will be made available on February 29 under the same model, where the initial download is completely free. Launch day DLC includes the Hawaiian Adventure pack, which will retail for 1,600 Microsoft Points ($20). Other planes will be able to be purchased for $15 and $8 respectively, which means Microsoft is setting the course for angry consumers once again.

Sick of launch day DLC and demos masquerading under the title of free-to-play? Tell us about it in the comments.
