Microsoft Details Windows 8 App Certification Process

For developers out there eager to get their apps in the Windows Store, Microsoft has posted a very detailed explanation of the app certification process for Windows 8. All Metro styled apps must meet Microsoft certification standards before they are published on the Windows Store, similar to how the Windows Phone Marketplace is already being run.

The post is extremely detailed and contains a lot of technical jargon, but it’s a great starting point for developers who are interested in Windows 8, and consumers who may be curious about what hoops developers have to jump through in order to make their apps available to the general public.
