SkyDrive Receiving BitLocker & ODF Support with 300MB Limit?

SkyDrive has been a great service for Microsoft to help its users sync data in the cloud, but it looks like the service could be getting a facelift and some new features for the Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Currently, The Verge is reporting that SkyDrive will openly support BitLocker recovery keys, as well as the OpenDocument format.

In addition, for it’s online integration of the service, Microsoft seems to be testing out a brand new URL shortner for linking files to people at http://sdrv.ms. The company also announced that the service will match Dropbox’s 300MB file size limit, which seems kind of odd if the company wants to poach Dropbox members. Still, we’re betting we’ll see more about this update when the Windows 8 Consumer Preview hits on February 29th.
