nVidia Could Power Microsoft Tablets with Tegra Quad-Core

NVIDIA released a statement today concerning the company’s plans for working with Microsoft to produce Tegra 3 quad-core chips for Windows 8 PCs. Tegra 3 was rumored to be available on Windows Phone by 2013 and Windows 8 demos have already been shown with NVIDIA chips.

Both NVIDIA and Microsoft are working together to get test devices into the hands of developers and manufacturers, but considering this deal is something that has been planned for more than a year now, we think it’s safe to say that you’ll see Windows 8 ARM devices with NVIDIA processors.
