Lumia 800 Battery Fix Forthcoming

The Nokia Lumia 800 has been a popular phone in the countries that it has seen release in, but some users have been complaining about a poor battery life that is significantly less than the 8 hours advertised by the company.

Nokia acknowledged the problem and plans on releasing a firmware fix that will help those experiencing severe battery drain. In addition to improving battery life, the new patch will also help increase bass output through headphones, fix white balance on the camera, and maintain constant backlighting for the capacitive buttons.

While Nokia seems to be working on the patch, it’s not clear whether the company will distribute it to carriers itself or whether it will be sent to Microsoft for updating through its Zune software.
