Finally Puts Windows Phone in the Forefront

It’s hard for a new OS to take off if the company behind it doesn’t advertise it on its own websites. As crazy as that sounds that’s exactly hat Microsoft was doing on the Hotmail homepage. Until recently the iPhone was front and center on the “Get Hotmail on your smartphone” page. Now they have ever so slightly rearranged things and put the Nokia Lumia 800 up front.

Is this the ground breaking advertising campaign Windows Phone needs to be successful? No. Is it good to see Microsoft actually give their own products preferential treatment? Yes. Now the few people that still use Hotmail will know about Windows Phone.
