Nokia Rolling Out Lumia 800 Update to Fix Battery Life & Camera Problems

Nokia has finally begun to roll out its Lumia 800 firmware update that brings several fixes to the device. VersionĀ 1600.2487.8107.12070 will fix the idle battery discharge rate, screen brightness controls, and also adds a few features to the camera and adjusts the brightness of the capacitive buttons.

Users in Singapore that have been issued the update via Zune have reported a triple battery life for the phone compared to before the update. If this rumor is true, then it seems Nokia has finally put the hammer to the nail for those elusive battery problems that had many people complaining.

The update should be made available in a much broader spectrum in the coming days, so if it’s not available via a Zune update for your phone, keep checking. Let us know when you get it.
