First Windows Phones on Sale in China Today

Microsoft’s first big push into the smartphone market has arrived, as today the HTC Eternity is the first phone to go on sale within the country. It’s an unlocked HTC Titan look-a-like, with a 4.7″ screen, front and rear cameras and comes stocked with plenty of Chinese alternatives to popular American services like Facebook and Twitter.

Nokia will be launching the Lumia 610 with the Tango update in the country shortly, followed by other manufacturers such as ZTE. It will be interesting to see just how well the operating system does in China, as adoption rates in the country could literally make or break Windows Phone as we know it today.
