Windows Phone Marketplace Now Home to 70,000 Apps

It’s official! A while back we reported that the Marketplace had unofficially reached 70,000 apps. Today we can say that number is official acurate. This is thanks to Simon Leung from Microsoft who released some official Marketplace numbers yesterday.

Besides the 70,000 app total, Simon also said there are more than 300 apps being added daily. Some other numbers include 63 markets, 2,500 applications in the Chinese Marketplace, and over 100,000 registered developers. These are very good things to hear, and it proves momentum for Windows Phone is on the incline. Now go download some of those 70,000 apps!
