Windows Phone Marketplace Opens in 13 New Countries

The Windows Phone Team blog has just announced the arrival of the Marketplace in 13 new countries. Those countries are Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Croatia, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Venezuela. This brings the total number of Marketplace accessible countries up to 54. Not bad!

At MWC Microsoft announced that the Marketplace will be coming to UAE, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Israel, Thailand, and Vietnam. They still don’t have more specific details for the launch in those countries, but they promise to keep us updated. More countries > more developers > more apps > a better Marketplace for everyone.
