Acer Working on QWERTY Windows Phone Device for October Launch?

For the QWERTY lovers Windows Phone doesn’t have much to offer. Most of the Windows Phone devices today have the full touchscreen candy bar form factor. A report by Acer Club suggests that Acer may be working on a new handset with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The device is being called the W11, and it is said to be arriving in October. With that release date it’s plausible that this device could launch with Windows Phone 8. We hope to see this device when Apollo comes around. Windows Phone 8 should be a big milestone, and diverse hardware will only make it better.
