AT&T Commits to Post 8107 Update, No Time Frame Given

For those of you with first and second-gen Windows Phone devices experiencing the disappearing keyboard bug, it can be frustrating to know that AT&T passed on the 8107 update that fixed this problem. However, AT&T remains committed to updating Windows Phones, according to their support forums where people have been railing at the lack of updates.

Community managers have been scrambling to keep the peace among Windows Phone owners, with one Jamileh having this to say:

“Hey all – I know you’re eagerly awaiting news about this. AT&T plans for a Windows Phone update that will contain the improvements in the 8107 update and more.

I will likely start a new thread as I get more information as this one is getting a bit tricky to find information in.

Stay tuned!”

It seems AT&T wants its customers to know that a Tango update is coming, but that they’re not releasing any time frame. Considering how late some Android phones are seeing updates, such as the Infuse not getting its update until a year later, it’s understandable why some people are upset.
