7Digital Launches New Windows Phone App

7Digital has finally launched their app to allow Windows Phone users to access their service on their phones. The store is similar to iTunes and other digital music services, offering over 18 million tracks with a broad reach including 32 countries.

For existing customers, you can stream previously purchased tracks a la Google Music. Other features of the app include:

  • Discover, buy, download and listen to music anywhere
  • MP3 shop with over 18 million songs available
  • Sync your 7digital music from the cloud to your phone wirelessly
  • Available worldwide (fully localised in Europe and North America)
  • 30 second previews of all songs (streaming)
  • Integrated music player

The app conforms well to Metro standards and could become a hit among Windows Phone users if prices are reasonable. The streaming portion alone appeals to me. If you’re interested in giving 7Digital a shot, you can download it in the Marketplace by clicking the button below.

  • Having started on a PalmPre, I an avid supporter of third party apps, but it is a good sign for the marketplace ecosystem to see more official apps making it to WP7.
