High Demand in the US Delays UK Lumia 900 Launch Until May 14th

The Lumia 900 has been a popular item here in the US and moreso than even Nokia expected, it seems. Nokia has informed V3.co.uk that the Lumia 900 launch for the UK will be delayed until May 14th since the company has had trouble keeping the handset in stock in the US.

“The overwhelming demand for the Lumia 900 in the US with AT&T has, unfortunately, had a small knock-on effect on product availability in the UK.┬áThe Lumia 900 is now expected to be available from Phones4U around the 14th May.”

While no figures have been released yet, analysts yesterday predicted that Nokia could sell more than 1 million Lumia 900 handsets before the end of the year. If demand continues at this pace, that rate could easily be within reach once the handset finally goes international.
