Windows Phone Commands 1.7% of the Smartphone Market

Today Nielsen released its stats for the US smartphone market, which showed a positive gain for Windows Phone. The ecosystem currently holds a 1.7% marketshare versus 1.3% last quarter. What’s even more interesting to see is that Windows Mobile still commands more than 4% of the market, despite Windows Phone being more than two years into its life.

These stats do not include the Lumia 900 launch, so we’ll have to wait another month or so to see how that has affected the US market.
