Tip: Use Bing Maps to remember where you parked your car

Parking is an issue in a lot of cities. If you’ve ever atteneded a crowded event you probably found yourself having to park far away, and then after all the excitement you forgot where you parked. There are apps that try to help with this problem, but an easier solution is built right into Windows Phone with Bing Maps.

  1. Park your car.
  2. Open up Bing Maps and tap “Me” to zoom in on your location.
  3. Tap and hold on the icon that represents your location.
  4. When the flag pops up with your current address tap it. Now you are on the “About” page for your current location.
  5. Pin it to the Start screen.
  6. When you are ready to find your car tap the tile you pinned, tap “Directions,” and switch to walking mode if you so desire.

Pretty cool, huh? It’s a nice simple way to find your car without fiddling with 3rd party apps, and it’s probably more reliable too.
