Acer Iconia W700 is a Windows 8 tablet with an interesting dock

We’re not sure what got into Asus and Acer today, but they are unveiling some very interesting looking devices. The Acer Iconia W700 is next on the list.

Unlike most of the tablets we’ve seen today the W700 doesn’t come with a keyboard dock. Instead it has a very interesting looking dock that slides around the bottom and left side of the tablet. The tablet itself has an 11.6″ HD display with 10-finger multitouch, Dolby Home Theater sound, an Intel Ivy Bridge processor, and a Thunderbolt port.

Pricing is listed at $799 to $999, depending on configuration. Also note that an additional keyboard will be available as an accessory.
