Meet Xbox Music, the new music service coming to Windows Phone and Windows 8

An Xbox branded music service has been rumored for quite some time, and today it has come to fruition. Microsoft is at E3 today and they have announced “Xbox Music” which will be available on Xbox, Windows Phone, and Windows 8. This is expected to be a mash-up of Zune Pass and the Zune player which will hopefully gain more traction with the “Xbox” name.

Xbox Music will arrive with 30 million tracks available, but we’re still not sure exactly when it will arrive. Microsoft probably never intended for the Xbox to become the powerful home media center that it is now, but it seems they are finally embracing it for what it is.
