The Asus Taichi is a dual screen Windows 8 laptop/tablet

Computex 2012 is heating up, and Windows 8 is leading the news in a land slide. Asus has announced several Windows 8 devices, and they are pretty unique. We’ll start with the Taichi, a laptop/tablet hybrid with dual screens.

At first glance it appears to be just another ultrabook, but don’t let that fool you. On the back of the normal laptop screen is a second screen that allows the device to be used as a tablet when it’s shut. That way the keyboard is always with you, and you don’t have to hassle with any docking mechanisms.

The Taichi will come in 13.3″ and 11.6″ flavors. It runs a Ivy Bridge Core i7 processor, with 4GB of RAM, USB 3.0 ports, 5MP rear camera, and a “HD” front facing camera. Still no word on pricing and availablity. Does this design interest you?
