If you’ve ever bought software for your PC you’re familiar with the “Compatible with Windows” logo that probably came on the box. It’s a nice little icon that quickly tells you if this software will work with your computer. Like everything else in Windows 8, that logo is getting a makeover.
The new logo apparently comes in a four different colors: blue, purple, black, and cyan. It trades the rounded, shiny Windows 7 logo for a squared off, Metro design. We’ll probably be seeing logos similar to this shipping on PCs when Windows 8 is officially available. Metro is here to stay, people.
