Microsoft Surface’s cover is also a multi-touch keyboard

Head over to the Microsoft Surface Forums to talk about the brand new Windows Tablets!

One of the coolest things about the newly announced Microsoft Surface tablet is it’s cover. Microsoft has taken a fresh approach to Apple’s SmartCover and added some awesome functionality.

Fold open the cover and you’ll see a full multi-touch keyboard. The cover is only 3mm thick, but they’ve managed to use it as a keyboard. The keyboard works via Bluetooth, and is connected to the tablet with magnets. It’s much easier to type on than a flat slap of multi-touch glass.

Also note that a more traditional keyboard with actual keys will also be available when Surface launches.
