MetroTwit Now Available for Windows 8

A few months ago we told you about MetroTwit, a beautiful Metro-inspired Twitter client available for the Windows 7 desktop. Today, MetroTwit is launching on Windows 8 and is now available in the Microsoft Store. The preview version is meant to let users test the app as well as Windows 8, so while there are a few quirks here and there, the beauty of the metro interface is well worth it.

There’s a post by the developer on Istartedsomething.com that details the process of porting the app from Windows 7 to Windows 8 metro. He mentions that the process was not easy, but he had the help of Microsoft Engineers to help him get it up and running. If you’ve used MetroTwit in the past, definitely check out the post and if you’re currently running a version of Windows 8 on any of your devices, pop into the Microsoft Store and download it to check it out.
