Microsoft testing curved, one-hand use virtual keyboard for WP8?

Microsoft Research works on some crazy stuff, and sometimes it comes to market. They’ve mentioned in the past that they are working on a next-gen one-handed keyboard, and WMPU got their hands on a leaked Microsoft Research presentation that may have spilled the beans.

The keyboard is curved so your thumb can easily reach every key. Instead of a full QWERTY arrangement the keys are condensed to use predictive text. WMPU suggests that this keyboard will be coming to Windows Phone 8. It would be cool if they used some sort of gesture to turn on “one-hand mode.” What do you think?

Terrible. It is a good idea, but the TX9 keyboard is one of the reasons why smartphones began. It took minutes to write a simple text, with qwerty keyboards simple writing tasks takes seconds. Microsoft might have started digging their grave (windows phone 8′s grave).

Hardly, it’s not like this will be the only keyboard you can use. IF it even reaches WP8 it will be an option.

Very cool idea for an alternative keyboard style. I’d like to try my hand at it.
