In the mobile OS world screenshots are a bit of a unicorn. Only iOS managed to have screenshots built into the OS from day 1, and it’s taken Android several major releases before they included it in 4.0. For Windows Phone if you want to take any screenshots you’ll need to use the SDK or sideload a homebrew app. A new rumor suggests that WP8 will finally bring screenshots to the OS.
The site WPDang reports that in Windows Phone 8 users will be able to take a screenshot by pressing the Start and camera buttons simultaneously. Screenshots may seem like a small thing, but for developers and people of the media it would make things much easier. Plus you’ll be able to take screenshots of all the mistakes auto correct makes.
