As the release of Windows 8 draws closer, more and more companies are readying their apps for the Windows 8 metro interface. Last week we told you about SyFy and WWE apps that were available but this week, eBay has launched their app for the Windows 8 Release Preview. The eBay metro app for Windows Phone 7 is surprisingly well done and adheres to metro standards wonderfully, so it’s little wonder that eBay is currently embracing the desktop metro form.
Never miss a deal with the eBay app for Windows 8 with instant alerts when outbid or auctions are ending. You can customize even more alerts so you stay on top of your shopping. The eBay app lets you search, increase existing bids & watch items from the world’s largest marketplace! This app integrates eBay Search, My eBay at-a-glance, Daily Deals and more to help you manage all your shopping activity.
Currently the app is available for free in the metro marketplace and we assume it’ll stay that way even after Microsoft has updated the store to allow for paid apps. eBay’s apps on other services including WP7, Android, and iOS remain free so it makes little sense to charge for this version. What do you think of the new look?
