“Xbox for Windows” branding shows up in Windows 8 bundled games

In another move to simplify the Windows ecosystem Microsoft is using the Xbox name for Windows games. A forum member on Neowin discovered that the three games bundled with Windows 8, Solitaire, Minesweeper, and Mahjong, are labeled with “Xbox for Windows.” We’ve seen the Xbox Live brand used for special games in the Windows and Windows Phone Store, but never in this manner.

These three games will also come with the ability to log in and collect achievements. For example, your very first move in Solitaire will earn you 10 points. It’s likely that this branding will be used to signify games made exclusively for Windows 8.
