Microsoft’s Windows 8 celebration took place in Redmond on August 8th with a unique centerpiece for the party. That table you see in the above picture? It’s an edible cake celebrating the Microsoft Surface tablet. The cake includes five confectionary Surface tablets in celebration of the final build of Windows 8.
The celebration on August 8th marks the two years of development that Microsoft put into the new touch-inspired Windows 8 interface. Even now after Windows 8 is out the door and all the Surface cake has been eaten, plans for Windows 9 are likely underway. For consumers who are excited about the next generation of Windows, you’ll be able to get your hands on it October 26th, 2012.
