Electronic Arts Fully Supports Windows Phone 8

Over the past few weeks we’ve reported that several high profile game developers like Gabe Newell, Rob Pardo, and John Carmack have had some vocal opposition to Windows 8. It’s nice to be able to say that for once, someone in the industry actually likes the direction Microsoft is taking their platform. Electronic Arts has stated in an interview with Bloomberg that when the new mobile OS is available, its games will be there, too. This is good news, as EA holds some huge gaming licenses like Dead Space, FIFA, Bejeweled, and publishes all of the Chillingo mobile games.

Peter Moore spoke to Bloomberg and said that having access to new ecosystems is never a bad thing, “We’re working very closely with Microsoft to understand what their views on gaming navigation are,” he said. “Anything that allows more platforms to be adopted quickly that have a gaming element is good for Electronic Arts.”
