Windows Phone 8 Already in VIP Developer’s Hands

Earlier today we told you that a September launch for Windows Phone 8 was likely imminent and it looks like we have one more piece of evidence to confirm this. Neowin is reporting that Microsoft has given early access to Windows Phone 8 to VIP developers who supported the platform throughout the Windows Phone 7 life cycle. With early access, Microsoft hopes the developers will begin development now so that their applications are available for the platform at launch.

These handsets are under strict monitoring conditions and according to Neowin, they are Nokia prototypes that are very similar to current Lumia devices. It’s good to know that Microsoft is giving their star developers the headstart they ┬áneed to make sure the platform has the best launch available.
