We’ve heard from several OEMs about what they think about Microsoft Surface, but Acer and Lenovo have been the most vocal. Lenovo has been more confident than Acer, saying they are not afraid of Microsoft’s tablet. Lenovo is talking about Surface again today, and once again they are not afraid.
Lenovo’s CEO said that although they don’t like Microsoft entering the PC hardware market, they are ready to compete with them. He says: “They’re just one of our many competitors. We are still confident that we are providing much better hardware than our competitors including Microsoft.”
They may have better hardware, but will it matter if Microsoft undercuts them on price? This Fall is going to be extremely interesting.
