Add Dell to the list of hardware companies with less than kind things to say about Microsoft Surface. This time Dell founder Micheal Dell had some things to say about Surface, and while he may not have been as whiny as Acer, they were still negative.
”I think there’s an understanding of the number of units that they’re likely to sell is a relatively small percentage. Maybe in the 1 to 2 percent range of total PC units during next year.”
Again, this is nothing new at this point. Microsoft’s partners suddenly feel like competitors, and they do like it. It may be wishful thinking that Surface will only have 2% of the PC market, especially if Surface RT is priced as low as $200. One thing is certain, all this talk is making things very interesting.
