Barnes & Noble to unveil new Nook tablet running Windows 8 this month

Last week Amazon unveiled their new line of Kindle products. Now we wait and see what Barnes & Noble will do to respond. Since Microsoft has invested in Barnes & Noble we take a special interest in what this could mean.

Sources at Digital Trends have confirmed that B&N will unveil a new Nook tablet in September that runs Windows 8. They go on to say that the event will be held in Union Square, New York. We can expect the Nook to run Windows RT, and probably come with pre-loaded reading Metro apps.

Would you be more willing to get a reading device if it ran Windows?
