Skype has had something of a rocky start on the Windows Phone platform even after Microsoft purchased the company, but it looks like its finally moving in the direction most users would like to see it go. The newest beta version is 5.11, which allows users with Microsoft and Facebook accounts to sign in to the service. Users with a Microsoft ID can chat with anyone who is using Messenger, further integrating those services. Facebook integration has also been expanded so that if you don’t have a Skype account, you can use your Facebook login. For those who have both already, you can now tie the three together.
In addition to these changes, the beta brings about a less cluttered interface and support for six new languages. Not too shabby for a beta release. If you’re interested in trying it out, you can download it by clicking here. Let us know what you think!
