Contre Jour is the Xbox LIVE Game of the Week

Ashley is a 26 year old with an enthusiasm for all things technology related. She hails from the Southern United States and when she's not tweaking her Android handset, she can usually be found in front of the computer or Xbox 360 enjoying the latest game releases.

This week’s Xbox LIVE game is a hold over from the iTunes App Store, though its one I’ve been wanting on Windows Phone for some time now. Chillingo’s Contre Jour is an aptly named title that uses strong, contrasting colors to get its “against light” feel that the name translates from French. The soundtrack is also one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of listening to while playing a mobile game.

The premise is pretty simple, you need to guide Petit to the exit safely, but players don’t control him directly. Instead, players can control the environment to control where the little guy goes. It’s definitely a physics game so if those aren’t your cup of tea you probably won’t like Contre Jour, but I found the combination of different mechanics and the soundtrack to be well worth the price of entry of $2.99. If you’re interested, you can snag it here.
