AT&T to offer Samsung ATIV Smart PC and Asus Vivo Tab RT

We have been hearing that AT&T will have a few Windows 8 tablets on store shelves soon, but what tablets those would be has been a mystery. Today AT&T has announced that those devices will be the Samsung ATIV Smart PC and Asus Vivo tab RT.

We saw both of these tablets earlier this year. The ATIV Smart PC runs full Windows 8, and has a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 11.6″ display, and 64GB of internal memory. The Vivo Tab RT on the other hand runs Windows RT, and has a 10.1″ display, a quad-core processor, and 32GB of internal storage.

Unfortunately, the terrible trend of announcing things without price and availability continues with these two tablets. Our best bet is that both devices will be available in the next month or so, and certainly before the holidays.

  • I just dont understand the reasoning with Microsoft not wanting to give people important details. Availability and Price. People have lots of choices and these details are important. I can only think that MS wants to cause a frenzy and cut the prices low so people will be camped out at the MS Stores.
