MetroTwit is one of my current favorite clients for Windows 7, so I was excited to when the developers released a 1.0 version for Windows 8. That release has seen a major update that now adds a pro version as well as additional features to the app, including streaming and lists support, inline media previews, and geolocation support. Several bugs have also been squashed in the new release as well.
Similar to the Windows 7 version of the app, MetroTwit now comes in a Pro version available for $4.99 that removes all ads from the app and includes multi-account support. For those of you who have already purchased the Windows 7 version of MetroTwit, you can get the new version for Windows 8 for free using the validation code included from the original purchase.
