Last week we told you about a Best Buy one of our readers discovered had set up a Windows 8 display for various HP laptops. The store let you play around with Windows 8 early, even if they weren’t selling the laptops before the October 26th release date. a reader of The Verge has found one better, where his local Walmart is displaying and selling boxed copies of Windows 8. The reader was told the copies are available for purchase, but that the local store is not doing anything to promote them until the official release date. The price for a boxed copy of Windows 8 Pro was listed as $69.99.
If you’re eager to get your hands on Windows 8 early, you might want to try your local Walmart.
