HP Envy x2 convertible Windows 8 device gets priced at $850

Let the onslaught of Windows 8 devices begin/continue. HP has released pricing and availability information for their Envy x2 convertible device. the Envy x2, like many other Win8 devices, is a tablet that doubles as a laptop. The 11.6″ display can be unlocked from the keyboard to be used as a rather large tablet. The Envy x2 also features Beats Audio, of course, which will make some people happy and other people roll their eyes.

The price for the Envy x2 is a steep $849.99, and it will be available November 14th. The problem with the Envy x2 pricing, and a lot of other convertible devices, is that you’re paying laptop prices for a tablet. It does come with a keyboard, but the selling point here is that it can be used as a tablet. Do you think Windows 8 devices are being priced too high?
