We’ve known about the camera lenses feature for a while now, but now we’ve got more information about how the photo hub works in Windows Phone 8. The main announcement is that photos taken are immediately uploaded to the cloud. For those worried about taking too many photos, SkyDrive offers 7GB of free space with an easy way to delete the photos you might not want. Unlike other services, photos are never deleted so you’ll have them no matter if you switch phones or lose your current phone.
Additionally, lenses for the camera will be extensible, which means third-party app developers will be able to access the camera in order to create their own lenses.
