Acer announces 23-inch touch capable monitor for Windows 8

Touch, touch, and more touch is invading the PC industry with Windows 8. By choosing to go with a more touch friendly OS Microsoft has opened the flood gates for OEMs to get really creative with hardware. We’ve been seeing all types of touchscreen laptops, but monitors are getting the touch treatment too.

Acer has announced a new monitor with touch capability called the Touch ET83. It has a 23″ IPS display, and it will be available in November staring in Korea. Pricing and availity for the rest of the world are still unknown.

I’ve never thought reaching up to touch a monitor is very comfortable, but it would be nice to have it there if it doesn’t cost a lot more. What do you think?
